This is a pretty nifty one, I managed to pull of rounded corners by making the edges completely transparent, therefore they mirror whats directly above them. In most cases you’ll never notice. I also implemented a divider for all those requesting them. I’ll try add more in the future.

I just tried downloading your custom docks but unfortunately I keep getting an error message saying there is no server available with the content requested. Is there any other way I can get this to download? I really like your work.
November 4th, 2007 at 10:02 am
Just came back to post that the server problems seem to be over now. I was able to download your custom docks minus 2 - barber and circuit aren’t linked to a place for download. When you click on those 2, they just refresh this page. Anyways, thanks for the docks and can’t wait to see more of your work.
November 4th, 2007 at 11:37 pm
Dude - those docks are BADASS!
I can’t wait to upgrade, so I can get a couple.
November 5th, 2007 at 2:49 am
Dude, these rock to the highest degree possible!! :)))))
November 5th, 2007 at 5:02 pm
Man, red graphite rules!!! thank you thank you!
November 5th, 2007 at 6:22 pm
Is there any way to mod the dock when it is on the left and right hand sides of the screen?
November 5th, 2007 at 8:14 pm
hey - you should make a carbon fiber dock - maybe with a tire tread instead of a dashed line towards the right
November 5th, 2007 at 8:15 pm
these are sweet, especially like the grass
November 5th, 2007 at 8:19 pm
Is there some sort of guide to these if I were to try my hand at making one?

I find the lighter dock surface is not objectionable, but the slightly lighter smudge indicating an open app is barely visible. Please try darker variations. How about a small obsidian marble? I’d use that.

Could someone post the original scurve files that were lighter? The original files posted above are the darker graphite style. THANKS!
November 7th, 2007 at 1:28 am
Hmm, I did just replace that zip and may have added the wrong ones, I’m looking for the original files now.

@APZ It’s harder to help you when you don’t leave ANY contact info, but:
Did you delete the indicator.png files? I’ll post the originals later today. As for now, download the whiteIndicators I made (http://www.mediafire.com/?9smylemmfln).
Hope this helps.

November 8th, 2007 at 1:06 am
These are great. Any idea how to make the replacement images work for the vertical dock position (eg Position on Right)? Thanks!
November 8th, 2007 at 6:24 pm
Owen, I’ve also been trying to figure out if you can mod the dock when it is vertically oriented. So far, no one seems to care or know if this is possible. I’ve poked around in the Resources directory of the Dock.app, and found some images that definitely correspond to the vertical dock, but they only seem to apply to the thin perimeter and corners, not to the primary region. Let me know if you come across anything that addresses this issue.
November 8th, 2007 at 7:15 pm
@Jim:
I have poked around the resource folder as well to only discover corner pieces. The actually body area of the dock is a hex color with transparency. So if you did customize the dock vertically, you’d have to find a way to control that color.
I’ll keep posted if I come up with anything else!
Thanks.

November 24th, 2007 at 7:58 am
Is there anyway to get these fancy new designs work when the dock is on the left or right? As an author, I need the maximum height on the screen to read and edit pages, so the dock never goes on the bottom. The default design apple gives us for left and right though is just a flat gray dock with an ugly white line around it. Ugh.
